It's never to early to stock up for next season! WE DELIVER AND STACK YOUR FIREWOOD! ***NOW SCHEDULING JANUARY 2025 DELIVERIES!

Let's Get Toasty!

It's Wednesday Again!  We all made it through a busy Memorial Day weekend.  We enjoyed our campfire all weekend, did you?

As you can see in the picture, we cooked over our campfire this past weekend.  So easy and fun.  Cooking over the campfire is some of the best food, usually easy to prepare and the clean up seems to be simple.  It seems beans or baked potatoes in the campfire are the favorite in our family but we can't leave out the traditional hot dog on the stick over a roaring campfire.

Here are a few of our favorite things to do around a campfire -

1. Tell Stories - Whether it be telling stories of the past or lies about fishing, it's our family and friends time together.

2. S'mores - Who doesn't love S'mores - This is a fun for the kids and adults. Who can resist that warm marshmallow and chocolate sandwiched between  graham crackers?  So fun to watch the kids make and eat them.

3. Music - We love to listen to a little music, recline in our chairs and gaze at the sky while our campfire keeps us warm.

4. Cooking - As I said when we started, cooking over the campfire is a favorite.  Just like Cowboys used to be, cooking over the campfire is still alive today.  So, stock up on all of the good fresh vittles to get your cooking going.

What are your favorite things to do around a campfire? You can leave us a comment and let us in on your campfire fun.

Just a few campfire safety tips.

1. Know the rules - Review the rules and regulations of your campground and area that you will be staying.

2. Use the pit -Always make sure to use the firepit provided by your campground or have a good rock ring to use at your campsite.

3. Keep water handy -  Keep water on hand so that the fire can be put out if needed.  If you don't have water readily available, dirt or sand will do the trick.

4. Wind - A strong wind can spread a fire quickly.  Use the 15 foot rule when it comes to your tent or clothing.

5. Injuries - Campfires are the number one cause of children's camping adventures.  Make sure to teach your children about the dangers of a campfire and how to stop, drop and roll.

6. Never Leave a Fire Unattended/

7. Put out the Fire - Always put your campfire out before you leave your campsite with water or dirt.

In Closing - The campfire is the center of attraction for camping memories.Campfires are a great place to make friends and tell stories.
