Frequently Asked Questions

1.) When should I order?
Order your firewood before you need it. Spring and Summer is always best.  Your firewood will be ready and waiting for you when cold weather hits.

2.) When will I get my delivery?
Once your order placed, our scheduler will reach out to you and get you on our delivery schedule. September to March is our busiest time of year so if you ordered during that time, lead times are longer.  Please be patient as weather, equipment issues and driver health all play a part in the timing of delivery.  Wet or icy conditions may not allow for delivery on your scheduled day.  If you get rescheduled for any of these reasons, we will communicate often with you to set up another day for delivery.

3.) Can I pick up firewood?
Yes!  One rick of firewood fits perfectly into the bed of a full-size truck. We offer self-serve roadside pick up at 8184 Hwy. 127S, Crossville, TN. 38572.  Each $25 rack is 1/4 of a rick so if you pick up a full rick, it would be 4 of the 1/4 rick slots. THIS ITEM SELLS OUT QUICKLY.  If you would like to pick up, please give us a call and we can help set up a date for pick up.

4.) Where are you located?
We are located in Crossville, TN south of the Cumberland Mountain State Park.

5.) What type of firewood do you offer?
All of our firewood is mixed hardwoods, mostly red oak, chestnut oak, pin oak and white oak with occasional hickory, cherry, sassafras or poplar mixed in.   We do have occasional other species of hardwoods that are mixed in depending on availability.  NO pine.  All of the split logs are approximately 4 to 6 nches in diameter and 16 to 18 inches in length.

6.) Do you offer custom length split firewood?
At this time, we do NOT offer custom length firewood.  All of the firewood is 16 to 18 inches in length.

7.) Where do you deliver?
We deliver within a 100 mile radius of the city center of Crossville, TN. If you have tried to order and you have recieved an error message related to delivery, please reach out to us and we will be happy to assist with your location.  You can give us a call at 1-800-929-9655 and we will be happy to help with your location.

8.) How do you deliver?
We deliver in full size trucks towing 16ft trailers.  If you have a difficult entry into your property, please let our scheduling person know when you place your order.

9.) Is the firewood seasoned?
All of our firewood is harvested locally and usually each of the logs have been cut and down for at least a year.  Sometimes, the moisture level in later cut logs is a little higher. Rain and snow conditions will increase those levels. Our Firewood usually ranges between 10 to 30% on a moisture meter.  Wet wood does NOT always mean green wood.  With that being said, ordering early (Spring or Summer) and having it delivered early will give the moisture levels time to come down and it will be ready to burn once cold weather hits. We can NOT guarantee that the firewood will be at a 20% moisture level or under so order as early as possible.

10.) How do we store our wood?
We do NOT store our wood under cover.  The split wood is processed into piles, and certain species are separated out.  When it rains, it gets wet and when it snows, it gets wet and freezes. Our delivery trailers are NOT covered, and the wood gets wet when it rains or snows.  When we deliver and stack, the best practice is to store the wood in a dry area or just cover the top of the stack if it is stored outdoors.  Stacking allows airflow to the wood and helps dry the wood.  Rain, snow and ice increase the moisture levels in the wood.   If you have a small storage area inside to bring some of the wood inside, it will help to dry the wood faster.

11.) Is there a delivery fee?
No! We deliver and stack or dump for free!

12.) Terms of Service:
